I was 18 when we first met. It sounds weird but we met online before we met in person. I was just coming off of a pretty hurtful breakup, and so I was a little hesitant to open my heart up to someone new. It's strange how things work out. One day I was logging on to a networking site and saw a thumbnail photo of some guy who looked like he was around my age. Normally I'd have ignored things like that, but for some reason I felt compelled to visit his profile. I did, saw he was about a year and a half older than me, and lived relatively close by. Not bad too look at either... Anyway, I read the description he had written about himself and I immediately wanted to get to know him better. It's hard to explain, but when you 'know' you just know. I wrote to him and explained that I 'never do this kind of thing' and invited him to get back to me if he wanted. His response seemed immediate and before I knew it we were chatting through instant messenger. That day changed my life. We "talked" for about seven hours (more than one conversation) and if two people ever clicked, it was us. Everything just seemed so perfect; it didn't take long for me to realize I was falling in love with him. The best part is that as I came to know him better I realized that he truly cared about me, and I wasn't afraid to let him in to my life. We met in person a couple months later and it was magical. I loved him so much then, and I love him even more now.
