Amazingly…..each & ever reunion takes on a different feeling, somehow managing to top previous reunions…..hands down! As Warriors walked through the doors of the Tuscany Hotel & Casino, a fire of excitement seemed to roll off of them…. touching everyone in sight.

Unfortunately, the aging process and health problems takes a toll on some of us, but that doesn’t stop Warriors from having a good time. Warriors know….the party must go on! A few “lucky Warriors” look like they just stepped out of high school, and we are proud to show them off....wishing them continued good health.   However....no matter how we may look....we all bring with us our imperfections….because no one is perfect.  My Uncle Gene (an artist) taught me to appreciate these imperfections in others when he told me, “Sometimes the ugliest face….is the most interesting!”  Personally.....I believe that each and every face.....has its own a "unique" kind of beauty.

Without the hard work of our committee...these reunions would not happen.  A great big THANK YOU to:

Wally Maroney,                            Class of 1973

Nancy Houston Padgett           Class of  1971

Libby Blackstead                         Class of 1972

Cher Carey Chu                            Class of 1968

Pat McGlamory                            Class of 1973

And.... our reunions would not be successful without the many Warriors who volunteer their time before, during and after reunions.  But most of all.....without the interest in attending these reunions....there would not be a Yamato High School Reunion.

I have been attending Yamato reunions (every two years) since 1999, and with each reunion I always think, “It can’t get any better than this!”  But I am always wrong.....each reunion just gets better & better.  The love & excitement that flows between Warriors is overpowering....you can’t help but feel it!  I cannot tell you how many Warriors walked up to me ....gave me a great big hug and said, “ Vonnie.....I love you!”  It doesn’t matter who you are or what your place in this world may be....you will feel loved at a Yamato reunion. I am here to tell you..........if you think you are somebody.....you’re nobody until somebody loves you......

You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You

Wayne Newton

You're nobody 'til somebody loves you

You're nobody 'til somebody cares

You may be king, you may possess the world and it's gold

But gold won't bring you happiness when you're growing old

The world still is the same,

you'll never change it

As sure as the star shines above

You're nobody 'til somebody loves you

So find yourself somebody to love

The world still is the same,

you'll never change it

As sure as the star shines above

You're nobody 'til somebody loves you

So find yourself somebody to love

So find yourself somebody to love
