In sixth grade we would always start off the day with accelerated reading for thirty minutes. My teacher had a big, comfy, recliner chair in the back corner that we were able to read in at the beginning of class. Each week a different student would be assigned to the chair, so no one would fight over it. However, you could lose that privilege by misbehaving in class or during reading time. For me, reading was more enjoyable when it was in a comfortable environment. This way, I would be able to read for a longer amount of time and have fewer distractions.
