Funeral services for Margaret Sullivan Watkins, 89, long time resident of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her residence, will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Vicki Watkins Landrum and Rev. Nance Hixon officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Zoo presents new baby koala

Riverbanks Zoo has a new baby koala. The joey was born in April 2009 and spent the first seven months in his mother, Lottie's, pouch.

“The keepers observed movement in Lottie's pouch in July, but it wasn't until late October that they got the first look at Oliver's face,” said John Davis, curator of mammals at Riverbanks.
