Welcome, from the great City of Brewer, across the Penobscot River from Bangor. 44.8N- 68.8W.. over looking at the old Eastern Fine Paper Company. Which now has been renamed "Eastern Manufacturing Facility", purchased by the Cianbro Corporation. A major construction firm here in South Brewer. This firm is spread across the Eastern United States.
A little something about me, and remember this blog is all about ME! I was born, and brought up pretty much in South Brewer. I am a member of the Brewer City Council, having been first elected in October 1985. One of the first major opportunities of the Council was to march in unison across the Veteran's Bridge, which was just opening, into the city of Bangor. An opening bridge day, that was cold, but we all enjoyed the major event.
Having had the honor of serving the citizens of Brewer for 24 years, it has been an interesting ride, and it's been a fun time too. On the 3rd of November-2009- I was re-elected again to the City Council. This is the 8th- 3 year term- for me. Will have served 24 years, if I make it to the end of this term. What a honor and privilege.
My home is located on Goupee Street,.I live next door to my son Mark and his wife Tammie and Candace Marie (15), and "little man" Charles Mark (13). My daughter Laurel and husband Bill, with their two children Jessica and Josh reside in Surry.
I will be sharing my journal, as I did also with the old Aol,with anybody that cares to STOP by for a 'look and see'. Please feel free to leave a comment if you wish to. Your continued interest in my blog is appreciated, and your comments are welcome, as always. Your identity may remain as an "unknown".
Oh, and yes, I have my six year old chocolate lab, Bessy- My "special" sidekick.
