We moved from Virginia, where Lane and I lived for about 25 years, to Texas, in late '04. For me, it is like returning to my roots. I have always felt a connection to Texas. My grandmother was born here, and my great grandmother is buried here.

Thanks to Carla Noffsinger, for encouraging me to write again and to become a member of the OS Family. Through the information Carla posted on OurStory about her family genealogy, we discovered that we are cousins! Her great-grandmother (Lucinda Mentoriah Vaughan) and my great-great grandfather (George Washington Vaughan) were sister and brother! We knew each other for months before we learned this. Imagine that! Amazing!
