I'm Andy Holliday and this is my co-founder and VIP of Engineering, Chris Lunt. OurStory begins with a simple idea. Collect your personal and family media in a life long interactive timeline. At OurStory, you showcase your photos and videos in multimedia stories about your life. These are kept collected in a lifetime, timeline of people events places and memories. Tell the stories behind the pictures. Personal stories, family stories, love stories. Each story you add is privately emailed to family and friends, and they can add comments and photos simply by replying to the email. Start a timeline for your child. Recall the moments when you learned of the pregnancy, add the ultrasounds. Then announce the birth using OurStory. With automatic email delivery, that also collects congratulations from email replies directly into the ongoing story of the child's life. Connected to private circles of family and friends, you decide who can see each entry you make and you decide who can add stories and photos directly to the child's timeline. This is a comment from Grandpa. Grandpa has his own timeline as can anyone in the family to collect their media, memories and the stories of their life. At anytime, download a complete copy of your collection, laid out and ready to print in beautiful hard cover books.
Let's take a closer look at the timeline. The timeline collects and organizes your personal favorite photos, videos, blog posts and all those letters you've been keeping in the shoe box once and for all, in a lifetime personal or family chronology. Let's make this timeline a collection of great family trips over the years. And I want to print it in a book but I don't have all the pictures and I don't have all the stories, but it's easy to get started. First, I can simply drag and drop icons for various life events and milestones, to the correct place in the timeline, add a title and then later comeback add more text and photos of my own. Photos I've uploaded but I haven't yet used are here and I can drag them to their correct place in the timeline. All the media you add hear can be tagged and displayed by the who, what and where of your life. If all you ever do in with OurStory is use our timeline and tagging system to organize and present your favorite photos and videos from each period of your life, you'll get great value from our free product. Then, start to tell the stories behind the pictures and you'll have something truly wonderful and ready to print in heirloom books. It's a world-class, multimedia memories manager with a publishing platform and collaboration built in.
So, now I want to use collaboration to fill out this timeline. I go to questions. I want my friends and family to work together to create the photo history here. By the way, in questions, you're never lost for something to write about. We have a library of thousands of questions you can use to prompt and guide family and friends, sending them life interview questions or you can answer the questions yourself. I'm using a special form of question here which is going to ask people connected to this profile to add photo history here. By the way, this way of working together can be use to create a family reunion story book, a group history or a "this is your life Grandma" celebration of an elder in which everyone in the family contributes. People in the family who aren't members of OurStory receive emails they can respond to. We'll come back in a few minutes and see what we get.
How are people using OurStory? Some use it as the best online personal journal. Most personal journal entries are private or shared only with close friends, but this one has public entries from a woman working and living in Sopparo Japan this year. This profile, my sister and I created to celebrate the life of my father who passed away two years ago. We printed this in books and gave them out to the rest of the family as Christmas presents this past year. Here's the story of the Old Rhodesian Air Force Sods, written by the Sods themselves, former officers and enlisted men of the Royal Rhodesian Air Force, capturing their photo history of the 1930s to present and using OurStory, to stay connected with men who are scattered across the globe. Here's a story I wrote. When you read a story about my life experience in OurStory, it might trigger a recollection of a similar experience that you've had. That's what gives rise to the comments and stories that you see here on this thread. They can take the form of an acknowledgement, a full story, or a video entry such as this one.
Now I'm going to ask Chris to add another comment to this thread so you can see how many of the we images here get into OurStory. I'm near a famous person, Chris Shipply, she's just around here, and so I want to get that in. Anytime I add a story or comment without media additions, the system offers images based on the text I wrote. Ok, time to go take a look at what we got in the Holliday holiday's timeline and see if our collaborators have added some more to the timeline. As you can see, there are a few more entries in here from my family and friends who have added to the history. It will be interesting to go and open those up and see what they've contributed.
Now, I invite you to join OurStory. Create and share in your own private circle of family or group of friends and become part of the larger OurStory community. A gathering of real people - writers, poets, Mom's, Dads, sharing their life experiences and their perspectives, often times publicly. OurStory is the best collaborative digital life story telling system ever and it's also the best way ever to organize and present your personal and family media once and forever. That's OurStory.
