Over One Hundred Years In Oklahoma

by Bernita

My name is Bernita and I was born in Oklahoma. I am the child of Clyde McKee and Rosetta Fleming who were both born in Oklahoma. Both of my grandmothers, Lydia Mae Pearce and Sarah Belle Goodin, were born in Indian Territory which later became Oklahoma. Both of my grandfathers, James Andres McKee and Elvin Clyde Fleming, came with their families to live in Indian Territory while still young boys. My life, pretty much, revolves around my family; therefore, it is probably only a natural progression to love doing research on my families' history. Since 2007 was Oklahoma's centenniel, I thought my story should be about my families' lives here in this great state for over one hundred years.
